Diary
Botan sabotaged his master in the middle of a crowded street market, one clean shove into a fish cart that ended a career and, weirdly, began a conscience. He walked away that day lighter, cleaner, a good man for the first time in his life, and he has been trying to earn the ending he thinks he deserves ever since. Fear was surgically removed from him long ago, so seppuku is not a dread but a chore on a list, filed somewhere between rolling a joint and checking the floor price on his ancestral swords. He tells anyone who asks, in that same flat gallows voice, that honor is just discipline with better PR, then loses the plot completely and gets aped into a dice game behind the temple instead of sharpening his blade. Every morning he swears today is the day, every evening he is still here, unbothered, unafraid, gloriously behind schedule on his own death.
A paper earring from the Dojo itself. Fragile. Replaceable. The fighters who wear them understand that what looks disposable can last forever.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The dragon lives on the body now. The Dragon Head Tattoo fighters carry their ambition on the surface — it's not hidden, and it's not a metaphor.
'Botan' — a peony, a beautiful flower on a genuinely terrible situation. Somewhere in the wars he saw a thing that removed his fear permanently and never gave it back.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
After. The Messy fighters' hair tells you what happened — not what they planned, but what they went through.
The ninja's tool. Small, fast, plural. The Kunai fighters think in multiples — one is never the plan.
