Rin had trained his whole life to read an enemy's stance, the twitch before a blade cleared its sheath, but nothing prepared him for the golden dread of a sunset lesson under The Bearded Bandit, who taught him to trade discipline for degeneracy with the patience of a man rugging a friend slowly. He remembers checking his katana's edge four times that evening out of habit, then forgetting it entirely the moment the Bandit passed him something rolled and glowing orange in the dying light. Now, weeks later, Rin wakes at 3 a.m. convinced the floor is dumping, journals his anxieties in immaculate, color-coded bullet points, and still somehow calls this peace, because in some cursed cosmic joke all his dreams have in fact come true: no wars to fight, no honor to defend, just infinite chill and absolutely nothing to be vigilant about. He tries, every morning, to meditate like the old masters, lasting roughly eleven seconds before spiraling into whether his tea was brewed at a treacherous temperature. Some samurai lose their nerve to fear; Rin lost his to comfort, and he has never once forgiven himself for it, even as he takes another loyal, worried hit.
Worn as trophy or warning — nobody is quite sure which. The Chicken Bones fighters have a ceremony for everything and share it with no one.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.

Insect mastery. The Kung Fu Beetle fighters move in patterns that look inefficient until they aren't. The beetle is not decorative.
