Diary
Rin once slept with one eye open, blade within reach, ready for an ambush that never came, and when the wars ended that vigilance had nowhere to go except straight into his own ruin. He told himself the charts were just another battlefield, that reading candlesticks was no different from reading an enemy's footwork, so he aped his entire savings into a token because the whitepaper had a dragon on it and dragons felt auspicious. He spent three sleepless nights drafting contingency plans for market crashes that were already happening in real time, stress-testing scenarios for a war that had ended the moment he clicked buy. The floor fell out, then fell out again, and by dawn he was broke, twitchy, and staring at a spreadsheet with more red than a battlefield after a bad campaign. The Dojo elders did not so much kick him out as gently escort him toward the door, worried he might triple-check the exit for hidden liquidations on his way through it.
Sober, unlike the drunk variant. The Lizard fighters have a companion with excellent judgment who never asks for anything and always seems to know when to leave.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The red Oni rages where the blue Oni waits. The Red Oni Tattoo fighters run hot and they are at peace with this.
The one the captain trusted with the plan — he mapped every ravine, counted every arrow, rationed rice to the grain so his squad would live. Now he plans everything and controls nothing.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Organization meets chaos. The Yakuza Hooligan fighters have discipline from one tradition and abandon from another, and they've combined them into something entirely their own.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
