Diary
Stresshead Rin had checked the exits three times, catalogued every guest's hands for concealed weapons, and still the blow that ended him arrived by smartphone notification, mid rib, at the men's pleasure house, while BBQ Ben gnawed a skewer beside him and offered zero tactical support. He'd trained his whole life to sense danger in a room full of drunk shoguns, yet somehow missed the email subject line that read simply, regrettably, effective immediately. Rin spiraled instantly, listing seventeen worst case outcomes before the check even arrived, while Ben just refilled his sake and said something unhelpful like relax bro, it's just a job. The Dojo elders, unmoved by his spreadsheet of contingency plans and his sudden, aggressive unemployment, showed him the gate before sundown. Now he patrols the streets alone, hyper vigilant for threats that no longer exist, still trying to stand at attention in a world that only wants him to sit down and breathe.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Grew things before they fought things. The Farmer clothing is the clearest record of what a fighter was before the Dojo changed them.
The one the captain trusted with the plan — he mapped every ravine, counted every arrow, rationed rice to the grain so his squad would live. Now he plans everything and controls nothing.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Floor-mat helmet. The Tatami Kabuto fighters made armor from the training floor itself — they carry the place they trained in wherever they go.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
