Diary
TOKUDA WOKE UP SCREAMING, as he does, sprawled among the temple priests in the Dojo gardens like some fallen banner from a war nobody remembers starting. The priests, bless their bald serene heads, didn't even flinch, they just kept chanting while Tokuda hollered about a floor that rugged him in his dreams and a general who never showed up to lead the charge. He tried, for one holy minute, to sit in their stillness and breathe like a disciplined man, but his knee bounced, his mouth ran, and a bird landed nearby just to get yelled at for existing. Somewhere between the incense and the hangover he asked the sky what future waits for a warrior with no war, no coin, and one degen-red eye, and the sky, wisely, said nothing back. So he stood, dusted off the grass and the last of his dignity, and roared into the morning anyway, because a battle-cry with nowhere to go still deserves to be heard.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The dragon lives on the body now. The Dragon Head Tattoo fighters carry their ambition on the surface — it's not hidden, and it's not a metaphor.
The battle-cry made flesh — his roar once turned breaking lines around. Now he barks the same orders across a crooked gambling table, losing quietly to himself in the loudest way possible.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Practical and armed. The Hair Bun With Chopsticks fighters put utensils in their hair and call it hair care — the dual function is not accidental.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
