TOKUDA EARNED HIS NAME IN THE FIGHT PITS, he'll remind you, voice cracking the rafters like a war drum that never learned to quiet down, back when he cut through ronin after ronin and called each kill a lesson in discipline. Now the only blade he swings is a dealer's shoe, and the only blood spilled is some drunk's rent money across a warped table in his dirty gambling den, walls stinking of weed smoke and spilled sake. He still barks orders like a general, ANTE UP, NO CRYING AT MY TABLE, as if commanding troops instead of degenerates chasing a rigged floor. Every night he swears this is the last crooked hand he deals, that tomorrow he returns to the old katas, the old silence, the old honor, and every night the shouting starts again because the house always needs a voice louder than its debts. He lost the war, lost the peace, and now loses quietly to himself in the loudest way possible, refusing, always refusing, to go out with anything less than a battle cry.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
