TOKUDA ONCE LED CHARGES that split enemy lines like cracked jade, and even now his mouth still fights like it's got a banner to plant, which is exactly the problem when he leaned into the Fight Pits ropes hollering insults at Yuuki about her stance being "soft as a rugged JPEG floor." Yuuki, unimpressed and unmerciful, answered with an elbow-lock so clean it should've been in a scroll, and Tokuda's arm folded with a crack he swears he heard before he felt, followed immediately by a battle-cry that was really just him screaming "WORTH IT" through tears. He tried to keep training that week, one-armed katas at dawn like some ronin fever dream, but discipline slipped through his fingers same as it always does, and by day three he'd traded the dojo mats for a street corner, waving his good arm at passing degens yelling "SUPPORT LOCAL SAMURAI, DM FOR RATES." It's a rough hustle, elbow bandaged in a bandana, sign held crooked, but Tokuda refuses to whisper his way through hard times, so every insult, every rejection, every clink of spare coin gets met the same way, at full volume, chin up, like it's still a war worth shouting about.
