Diary
TOKUDA STILL SCREAMS ABOUT MOUNT HAKU, and honestly, who wouldn't. He climbed that frozen ridge expecting glory, expecting steel-on-steel poetry, and instead got tangled up brawling a mob of angry civilians who apparently doubled as walking plague carts. He caught something up there he never named right, some cursed mountain-fever that rattles his bones on cold nights, and he answers it the only way he knows how: by hollering into the void like the enemy might still be listening. These days the war cry has nowhere to land, no banner, no army, just Tokuda alone in a dojo parking lot at 3am yelling battle chants at a vending machine that owes him nothing. He swears every morning he'll meditate, breathe, find that old samurai stillness again, then somebody bumps his shoulder at the bar and he's back to shouting like Haku never ended.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The dragon lives on the body now. The Dragon Head Tattoo fighters carry their ambition on the surface — it's not hidden, and it's not a metaphor.
The battle-cry made flesh — his roar once turned breaking lines around. Now he barks the same orders across a crooked gambling table, losing quietly to himself in the loudest way possible.
The world through affection. The Loveheart Shades fighters see everything as worth caring about — and have found this is more effective than the alternative.
Architecture on the scalp. Each knot a decision. The Black Bantu Knots fighters make their choices visible at the top, where everyone can see.
Chain-sickle, aged. The Rusty Kusarigama fighters have been in more fights than maintenance sessions.
