Under the sakura blossoms, petals drifting like confetti at a funeral no one RSVP'd to, Tokuda once bellowed his family's entire fortune onto a single bet, roaring "BANZAI" as if volume alone could summon good odds. It did not. The rude awakening came swift and merciless, the way all true awakenings do, leaving him kneeling in fallen petals that suddenly looked less like celebration and more like ash. Now he marches from dojo to dojo, chest out, voice cracking the rafters, insisting he will teach degens the discipline he himself misplaced somewhere between the sake and the collapse, and every lesson dissolves into him screaming market analysis at squirrels because no students have shown up yet. Still he refuses to whisper defeat, shouting into the wind that next season's blossoms will fall on a wiser man, even as he quietly, foolishly, keeps his wallet open just in case fortune wants a rematch.
