TOKUDA REMEMBERS THE MIST ON THAT MOUNTAIN LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY, because screaming a memory is the only way he knows how to keep it. On Misty Mountain the ninja came silent as debt collectors, and his will got tested blade against shadow, breath against fear, and somehow he walked off that ridge still shouting his own name so the void would know he was there. These days there's no honor guard left to test him, just a smoke-choked gambling den where he bellows the odds like a war drum and takes rent in chips nobody can cash. He tells himself discipline is coming back any minute now, right after this next hand, right after he stops yelling at the dice like they're ninja hiding in the fog. Floor's rugged, the sake's warm, and Tokuda still hasn't learned to whisper, not even when he loses, especially when he loses.
Not contacts. Not paint. Something older. The Shaman Eyes fighters see through the collection at a frequency others can't access, and they've been doing it since before the derug.
