Diary
TOKUDA WAS A BLADE ONCE, a name spoken in dojo halls like thunder, and now he screams it himself just to remember the sound. He set his whole treasury on Degens Path with the discipline of a man who once mastered breath and stillness, and then, in one infamous unbroken stretch of shameless self-indulgence, he watched every last coin evaporate while he was otherwise occupied, so to speak, chasing a release that cost him his fortune and, worse, his dignity in front of the whole village ledger. He tells the story now at full volume, unprompted, at inns and funerals alike, because a warrior does not whisper his failures, he ANNOUNCES them like a war cry so the gods at least have the decency to laugh with him instead of at him. Every morning he vows discipline, sits in seiza, breathes like the old masters taught, and by noon he's back on that same cursed path, hand twitching, wallet already halfway gone, howling
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Explicit in every sense. The Fuck You Kimono fighters made a communication choice and wore it. No ambiguity. No apology.
The battle-cry made flesh — his roar once turned breaking lines around. Now he barks the same orders across a crooked gambling table, losing quietly to himself in the loudest way possible.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
In motion even when still. The Wavy fighters are always already moving — the hair is just the most visible evidence.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
