Diary
They called him Azuma for the east, but Azuma called himself the reaction, the slow poison that arrives after the pretty light has already left the sky, and that morning by the river he proved it, trading blows with Ikari as the sun rose like it owed him nothing. Somewhere between the third strike and the fourth insult his earring vanished from his lobe, rugged clean off mid swing, and he swears to this day it wasn't Ikari's fist that took it but the universe itself, floor-pricing his last remaining heirloom for a laugh. A ronin who once meditated before dawn now stands on street corners at dusk, offering what dignity he has left for whatever coin, weed, or sake someone's willing to ape into his cup, telling himself it's temporary, that discipline is just one good decision away. He practices his old sword stances sometimes between customers, blade rusted, form sloppy, promising the empty air he'll get serious tomorrow, the way poison always promises it isn't working yet right before it very much is. The earring never returned, but the wound stayed, quiet, patient, doing what Azuma does best: settling in and ruining things slowly.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Another east, but where Drooling Azuma's is the honest sunrise, Toxic's is where the reaction happens — the direction things curdle. Same name, entirely different chemistry.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Golden cone hat of the sea. The Golden Kasa Fisherman fighters came from somewhere patient and arrived with that patience intact.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
