They called him Azuma because he was never the sunrise, only the slow poison that arrived after, and the grey mists over the training yard that morning were supposed to be his redemption arc. He had aped three bowls of dojo-grade skunk and a jug of shochu the night before, chasing some half-remembered discipline his old master preached about breathing through pain, and when the moment for greatness finally came his body issued its own corrosive verdict right there in his hakama. The other fighters still whisper about the smell drifting through the fog like a warning label nobody read, a reputation rugged in seconds after decades of quiet menace. Azuma did not run. He simply stood in the ruin of his own legend, swore on his ancestors' floor-price honor that he would rebuild from this exact humiliating candle, and lit another one anyway, because slow-acting men learn slowly, if at all.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.

Another east, but where Drooling Azuma's is the honest sunrise, Toxic's is where the reaction happens — the direction things curdle. Same name, entirely different chemistry.
