Diary
Beneath the sakura in Azuma, he had worn another man's face like a borrowed jacket, some calmer ronin mask he'd aped off a memory of who he used to be before the sake and the shitcoins ruined his hands for the blade. The petals fell slow, pretty, decorative, and still he snapped, temper spilling out like a rug pull nobody saw coming, all that borrowed serenity dumped on the floor in one ugly candle of a moment. He doesn't remember the words he said or the blood he may or may not have drawn, only that afterward the trees kept blooming like nothing happened, indifferent little liars. Now he tells anyone who asks that the incident is deleted, off-chain, unverifiable, gone, though the way his jaw tightens whenever pink petals drift past says the ledger is very much still open. Every dawn he vows to breathe, to sit, to be the still water his old sensei preached, and every dawn by noon he is once again the poison, slow, inevitable, and somehow still surprised by his own reaction.
Not contacts. Not paint. Something older. The Shaman Eyes fighters see through the collection at a frequency others can't access, and they've been doing it since before the derug.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Turns toward light. The Silken Sunflower Kimono fighters move toward what sustains them without apology or explanation.
Another east, but where Drooling Azuma's is the honest sunrise, Toxic's is where the reaction happens — the direction things curdle. Same name, entirely different chemistry.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Ancient discipline, modern retention. The Braided Samurai Ponytail fighters maintain something traditional precisely because the world keeps trying to make them let it go.
Used and not cleaned. The Bloody Nunchucks fighters are efficient — cleaning was someone else's job and they had the next fight to prepare for.
