Diary
They say Young Yuji had a shogun's seat waiting for him, cushion warm and all, before some misty morning turned it into a rumor he half believes on good days and fully believes after three bowls. He crossed blades with Ikari when the fog was thick enough to hide a whole future, and somewhere in that clash the throne, the war, the whole tidy destiny got left behind like a jacket at a party he can't remember leaving. Now he's free the way an untethered kite is free, drifting toward 4am candle bets and cold ramen, chasing a glory that packed up and rugged him while he wasn't looking. Every morning he swears this is the day he wakes at dawn, meditates, becomes the disciplined blade he was bred to be, and every morning the sun finds him still awake from the night before, eyes red, chart open, discipline nowhere on the floor. Still, ask him and he'll grin like the kid who never lost anything at all, because somewhere under the exhaustion he's still swinging at that same misty morning, hoping this time the throne stays his.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Wealth made garment. The Money Kimono fighters wear their wins literally — the fabric is a record, not a boast.
Still becoming, and always will be — the wars ended before he got to finish. All promise and no scars, certain his great chapter was over the next hill. The hill turned out to be the last one.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The Dojo's version of a mohawk. More specific, more named. The Dejen Mohawk fighters chose the Dojo's interpretation of rebellion over the generic one.
