Diary
Once Yuuki held a line against armies with nothing but a spear and stubborn breath, the kind of courage that got carved into scrolls. Now that same steady nerve gets spent on far smaller battlefields, like the frostbitten night he shut the door on his own family to chase one more charisma buff for his fighter stats, calling it strategy while his fingers went numb and his ancestors surely groaned somewhere. He told himself it was a calculated sacrifice, the degen equivalent of taking an arrow for the squad, but really it was just cold math and colder feet, and the stat bump felt hollow the second the door clicked shut. He still practices his forms every morning, or tries to, though discipline these days looks more like three stretches and a vape break before he gives up and checks the floor price on his gear. Yuuki will never be the same, not because the betrayal broke him, but because some quiet, embarrassed part of him keeps replaying it, wondering if a real samurai would have just asked nicely for the buff instead.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Seasonal. Fleeting. Beautiful because it ends. The Autumn Sakura Kimono fighters understand that the things that don't last are what make things matter.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Focus made visible. The Karate Headband fighters bound their intention around their skull so it couldn't escape during the fight.
Not defensive. Offensive. The Floral Parasol fighters weaponized elegance — opponents hesitate before striking something that looks like it shouldn't be there.
