Yuuki once held his ground against three men twice his size on a bridge in the rain, so when a pack of scumbags invited him to train under a dead streetlight at 3 a.m., he assumed his warrior instincts would carry him through. They did not warn him about the makeshift sake still that exploded near his head, and by dawn his once-proud topknot was a memory and his scalp gleamed like a temple bell. He took it as a sign rather than a tragedy, the way only a man who has faced real steel and survived can, and declared on the spot that he was done chasing hair, glory, and the approval of degenerates in equal measure. Now he sits cross-legged at the edge of the dojo courtyard each morning, robes slightly stained from last night's card game, attempting stillness while his knee bounces and his eyes drift toward the vending machine that sells canned highballs. He calls it his path to enlightenment, though most days enlightenment looks a lot like losing a meditation contest to a stray cat and calling it karma.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.

'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.

Ancient discipline, modern retention. The Braided Samurai Ponytail fighters maintain something traditional precisely because the world keeps trying to make them let it go.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
