Diary
The mist over the training yard was thick enough to hide a man's shame, which Yuuki figured was the only mercy he'd get that morning. He'd been fixed on Goro, cataloguing every twitch and shoulder-tell like the old sensei taught him, courage locked and loaded for a duel that never came, while some nameless degenerate walked off with the katana strapped to his own back. He did not chase. He did not shout. He simply stood there in the fog recalculating his life choices the way a man checks his wallet after aping into a coin some anon shilled him at 3am. Yuuki still trains every dawn with the same iron focus, still reads the wind and the footwork and the flicker in an opponent's eye, and still, without fail, forgets to watch his own back, which he has decided is either a tragic flaw or a personal brand. He has not forgiven himself, but he has, admirably, forgiven Goro, the mist, and the entire concept of mornings.'
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The dragon lives on the body now. The Dragon Head Tattoo fighters carry their ambition on the surface — it's not hidden, and it's not a metaphor.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Named for the legendary fighter. The Red Heihachi fighters carry that name's weight in every match and find it light.
Games within games. The Chō-Han Gambling Dice fighters turned the casino into the armory and find this philosophically consistent.
