Diary
Yuuki once charged into archer volleys without blinking, so when a mystery hand found his backside mid drill on a fog thick morning, he treated it with the same battlefield calm, finishing the count on his men before turning to address the offense like a war council item. The mist never revealed the culprit, only muffled laughter and the faint smell of somebody's breakfast weed drifting past his ear, and Yuuki filed it away as unfinished business, the way he files most things now. He walked to the old dojo elder that evening seeking counsel on his future, expecting talk of honor or discipline, and instead got a shrug and the suggestion to check his floor price before worrying about his backside. That night he sat cross legged trying to meditate on purpose and restraint, lasted four minutes, then lost the fight to a gambling app glowing in his lap like a tiny disappointed monk. Still, come dawn he drilled his men again, misty and undeterred, because courage repurposed for nonsense is still courage, and somebody has to keep count.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The Dojo itself, worn. Whoever puts on the Degen Dojo Kimono becomes part of the institution — and the institution becomes part of them.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
After. The Messy fighters' hair tells you what happened — not what they planned, but what they went through.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
