These days the same steady nerve gets pointed at far smaller battles, haggling over the price of his own company on a curb that smells like spilled sake and regret. He treats every transaction with the gravity of a duel, bowing slightly to strangers, quoting an old dojo code about honor even as he negotiates rates that would make his old sensei weep into his tea. He aped his entire savings into a “sure thing” token that got rugged within a week, so now the street hustle is less choice than necessity, though he narrates it like a noble campaign anyway. Somewhere between the bleeding chest and the bargaining voice, Yuuki keeps trying to reclaim discipline, promising himself this is the last night, the last deal, the last shortcut, and losing that fight with the same quiet grace he once reserved for actual war.
