Diary
Yuuki once charged castle walls under arrow-fire without blinking, so when he decided to shake down his old sparring buddy for gambling debts, he figured it would be a walk in the park, nothing his samurai nerves couldn't handle. He picked the venue poorly: his friend's own futon, mid-afternoon, the guy still half tangled in the sheets looking more confused than threatened. Yuuki delivered his lines about ledgers and floor prices and honor debts with the same steady voice he once used to rally scattered troops, but the room just smelled like old ramen and betrayal, and somewhere around the third sentence his mojo simply packed its bags and left. He stood there afterward, blade of conviction dulled to a butter knife, wondering how a man who once held a bridge alone could get rugged by his own bad staging. Discipline, he decided, walking home in mild defeat, is doing the hard thing well, not just doing the awkward thing loudly in someone else's bedroom.
Collected. Not borrowed. The Foes Teeth fighters carry proof of every fight they've won around their neck and find it a useful conversation starter.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Wore everything out. The Dirty Peasant Rags fighters have been in the Dojo so long that newness has become impossible — everything they own carries the evidence.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
