Yuuki once held a blade steady through storms that would have folded lesser men, but these days his steadiness gets spent on smaller wars, like the one atop Mount Haku where he'd talked a crowd of overleveraged degens out of their last tokens with the calm of a man reciting sutras. It should have felt like a win. Instead, watching them scatter and whine about getting rugged by a former samurai of all people, something in him finally snapped, patience worn thin as a coin passed through too many careless hands. So now he treks down into the jungle, pack light, resolve heavier, muttering that this time he will meditate properly, roll disciplined amounts of weed instead of entire trees' worth, and stop measuring his worth in floor prices and frightened degens' pocket change. He knows, even as he says it, that the jungle will test him exactly the way the mountain did, and that quiet heroism, these days, mostly means trying not to rob anyone before breakfast.
