Yuuki once rode through the provinces with the bearing of a man carrying royal decrees, back straight, chin level, hooves striking the road like punctuation on something important. What he actually carried was gossip, hot and unverified, whispered from village to village faster than any courier's honest news, and when the truth caught up with him so did his ruined name. The samurai who once guarded silence now sells the only inventory he has left, standing on street corners with the same steady posture he used on horseback, as if dignity were a matter of spine alone. He tells himself this is temporary, a tactical retreat, the kind of quiet heroism nobody writes scrolls about, and in the meantime he haggles over his own asking price with the calm of a man negotiating a ceasefire. Every evening he vows to stop, to rebuild the respectability he torched for cheap thrills and cheaper rumors, and every morning the same stubborn courage that once meant something gets spent again on absolutely nothing at all.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
