They still whisper of Yuuki at the Edo palace, the day he beat his own men in a duel nobody asked him to fight, a legend forged from pure stubborn nonsense and a blade he barely remembered drawing. He tells it now like scripture, though the details shift depending on how many rounds of shochu preceded the telling, and honestly the palace guards he decked were more hungover than hostile that morning. He carries the memory like a floor price he's still proud of, refusing to let it rug even as the rest of his life quietly does. Every dawn he vows to train again, to move like the disciplined blade he once was, and every dawn he instead naps through the sun and apes into another dumb bet with the boys from the old regiment. Still, when someone doubts him, something old and steady rises behind his eyes, small and quiet and heroic, the last true thing left standing from Edo.
One tooth. The whole shark is implied. The Shark Tooth fighters don't need to explain what they've overcome — they wear the evidence.
