Yuuki once sat shoulder deep in the onsen at Kusatsu, steam curling off the water like the last of his old ambitions, and something in him actually clicked into place. He rose from that bath a good man, or close enough, the kind who nods gravely at strangers and remembers to bow before he vapes. For a while he kept a ledger of virtues the way he once kept a ledger of kills, small tidy columns of discipline, until the ledger got used as a coaster and nobody, least of all Yuuki, minded much. Some nights he still stares into his sake cup like it's that same onsen water, wondering what warrior he might have become if he'd never left the heat, then he laughs quietly and orders another round because the thought is heavier than the cup. He calls this balance. His sword calls it something else, but the sword hasn't spoken to him in years, mostly out of respect for his sleep schedule.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
