Diary
Yuuki once stood the line at battles that mattered, blade steady, breath steadier, the kind of samurai who could hold silence like a vow. These days the only line he holds is the queue at Dojo Towers, and the only vow is the one he breaks each morning about never drinking before noon. It happened outside the lobby, where he unsheathed his katana for a duel with nothing in particular and, mid roar of profanities aimed at a group of unimpressed women by the elevators, brought the blade down on a concrete planter and snapped it clean in half. He stood there holding two useless halves of family steel, chest heaving, dignity aped away, and somehow the whole Dojo decided this was the bravest, dumbest thing anyone had done all week. They gave him a nod of respect anyway, the kind reserved for men who fight battles no one asked for and lose spectacularly on purpose. Yuuki bowed low, promised himself he'd find discipline again by Tuesday, and floor traders still bring it up whenever someone needs a laugh and a lesson in courage gone sideways.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Sovereignty in fabric form. The Queeny Chic fighters dress with authority that was never granted by anyone else and therefore can't be revoked.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The Dojo's version of a mohawk. More specific, more named. The Dejen Mohawk fighters chose the Dojo's interpretation of rebellion over the generic one.
The poisonous pufferfish as a weapon. The Frightened Fugu fighters chose something lethal that looks absurd — and find that this is the most accurate description of themselves.
