Assassin Fuzen keeps a mental ledger of debts owed, and the Nagasaki Lantern Festival added a line item he has yet to collect on. He and Oleg had ducked between paper lanterns to pass a joint like two old ronin pretending the war never ended, and somewhere between the second exhale and the third lantern someone's blade found his ribs before his katana ever left its saya. He does not remember the face, only the color of the lanterns overhead and the distinct insult of being rugged mid-hit. Now he heals slow and deliberate, the way he does everything, treating recovery like a contract he signed in blood and fully intends to renegotiate. The dojo elders once taught him patience is a virtue; Fuzen has simply repurposed it into a very long, very quiet list of names.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.

'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
