Assassin Fuzen once swore an oath to a lord who is long dust, and these days the only contract he honors is the one he keeps forgetting to close with his own worse habits. He went to rob the poor inside his family's own house, of all places, telling himself it was recon, telling himself it was karma, telling himself a lot of things while the floor beneath his sandals kept dropping like his favorite token. Something in that house pushed back, some old ancestral will he'd buried under years of bad decisions and cheap weed, and it tested him harder than any blade ever did, leaving him rugged in ways that had nothing to do with coin. Now he recovers slowly, meditating for exactly four minutes before reaching for the pipe again, promising the ghosts of his ancestors he'll finish what he started any day now. The house waits. The debt waits. Fuzen waits too, patiently, menacingly, doing absolutely nothing about any of it.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Named for what it abandoned. The No Honor Kimono fighters gave up on the codes others follow and found that this freed them completely.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Made for documentation, used for combat. The Paintbrush fighters record and act simultaneously — every fight is also a portrait.
