Assassin Fuzen has closed contracts in the rain, in the snow, once in a burning teahouse, but the blade that finally found him arrived on the laziest, most forgettable of hot afternoons, mid-sentence, mid-gossip, while he was only talking to Haru about nothing at all. He did not flinch. He rarely does. He simply noted the wound the way he notes an unpaid debt, filed it under business still pending, and decided the matter would be settled later, at his leisure, on his terms, the way all his business eventually is. For now there is a bottle waiting, and Fuzen intends to greet it with the same discipline he once brought to a killing stroke, a discipline that, four cups in, has already wandered off to nurse its own wounds elsewhere. He raises the next cup slowly, patient as ever, and promises the scar, and Haru, and himself, that vengeance is coming, just not tonight, not this year, whenever the tab finally comes due.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Wore everything out. The Dirty Peasant Rags fighters have been in the Dojo so long that newness has become impossible — everything they own carries the evidence.
'Fuzen' means incompleteness, a joke at his own expense before it was a name. The blade sent for the jobs that had to be certain — left with one last name on his list when the wars ended.

Crow spirit, long nose, ancient power. The Tengu Mask fighters are wearing something that predates the Dojo — something older that chose to be here.
