Diary
Haru grins the way sunlight hits a chipped blade, bright enough that nobody looks too close at the nicks. He tells it like a punchline every time: wandered up to the Emperor's Palace, saw a guy named Bob leaning on the gate like he owned the place, and thought hey, new friend, and that was that, katana traded for a folding chair and a losing hand of cards. Underneath the grin there's a whole dojo's worth of shame folded up small, the kind that whispers you were supposed to guard something sacred and instead you got recruited into vice by a guy named Bob, capital letters and everything, like the universe couldn't even be bothered to give his ruin a dramatic name. Every morning he swears today's the day, straightens his back, recites the old forms, and by noon he's aped his last coin into a dice game because Bob
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The blue Oni does not rage. The blue Oni waits. The Blue Oni Tattoo fighters are the calmest ones in the room — which makes them the most dangerous.
The man who decided grinning was braver than breaking. He held a line so long his smile became the squad's good-luck charm; now he beams through the wreckage of peacetime, a very tired samurai behind the widest smile in the Dojo.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Extinct power, still present. The Sabertooth Skull fighters wear something that doesn't exist anymore — which means they carry it forward.
The weighted hook-blade on a rope. Distance and cutting in one weapon. The Heavy Kyoketsu fighters control range — nothing happens at a distance they didn't set.
