Diary
Haru still tells it like a punchline: the day he lost his honor to Junichiro out in the Okiyo region, he laughed so hard mid-defeat that his own second thought he'd been hit in the head. Underneath the grin, though, something cracked quiet as old bamboo, the kind of break you don't hear until the whole thing folds. He swore that night, sake-warm and half-lit on somebody's rolled-up dojo weed, that he'd wake at dawn and rebuild his discipline plank by plank, katas before sunrise, no snacks, no jokes. Dawn came and went twice before he noticed, and he just shrugged that famous shrug, grin sliding back into place like a mask that never really came off.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The standard-bearer. The Proud Dejen Kimono fighters represent the collection consciously — they know what they're part of and they dress accordingly.
The man who decided grinning was braver than breaking. He held a line so long his smile became the squad's good-luck charm; now he beams through the wreckage of peacetime, a very tired samurai behind the widest smile in the Dojo.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Dark nature made structural. The Black Oni Horns fighters grew into something specific and let it show at the top.
The ninja's tool. Small, fast, plural. The Kunai fighters think in multiples — one is never the plan.
