Special Move: Vengeful Dojo Smack
Diary
Everyone in the Degen Dojo still tells the story about the night Haru ate one too many mushrooms and started swinging at spirits only he could see, and how the elders decided his stones were more trouble than they were worth. He laughs the loudest at that tale, flashing a grin so wide you'd never guess it was load-bearing, because a samurai learns early that a smile can hold up a whole man when the discipline underneath has crumbled. He tried, bless him, to reclaim his old form, meditating at dawn and vowing to stay clean, only to be found by noon giggling at a caterpillar and calling it sensei. Ask him if he minds what he lost and he'll clap you on the back and declare himself the freest, lightest, proudest man in all the province. Underneath that beaming face is iron, and the iron aches, but Haru would rather die than let the grin slip.
Worn deliberately. The Nails fighters made choices with their appearance that most would call unconventional and they would call honest.
Paper screens at night. The Shoji Night fighters were born in the quiet hours, when the market sleeps and only the committed are still at their screens.
The man who decided grinning was braver than breaking. He held a line so long his smile became the squad's good-luck charm; now he beams through the wreckage of peacetime, a very tired samurai behind the widest smile in the Dojo.
Half the statement. The Skull Sleeve fighters communicate their philosophy in one arm — the other arm is for whatever needs doing next.
Born from the collection itself. The Degen generation Framed fighters came up through the ranks — they were regular fighters who crossed the threshold and were transformed by it.
The Dojo itself, rendered on glass. The Dojo Graffiti fighters see everything through the collection's own aesthetic — they can't separate themselves from it.
The tiger, bound. The Tiger Headband Ruffian fighters contain something predatory with a strip of cloth and consider this sufficient.
