Gloomy Masumi once held a blade with the stillness of a man who understood that death, like taxes and bad beats, arrives regardless of posture. On a misty morning that offered no omens because omens require hope, he watched his savings vanish into a dice game with the calm of someone who had already known how it would end. He did not curse the house or blame the fog; he simply noted, in the flat voice he uses for weather reports and funerals, that ruin suits him better than prosperity ever did. He has vowed, as degenerates do at their lowest and most theatrical hour, to become a better man, to rise at dawn, to meditate, to stop chasing rugged bags with the same hand that once held a sword with purpose. He wakes most days at noon instead, stares at the ceiling, and concludes with grim satisfaction that the vow, like his savings, was never real to begin with.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
