Diary
Junichiro remembers the exact grade of light that morning, the sunrise measured to the degree, because he is the sort of man who measures everything and forgives nothing, least of all himself. He needled Yuuki about his sloppy stance, his sloppier sleep schedule, his tragic inability to hold a horse posture longer than a bong rip, and something in that teasing lit an old discipline back to life in his own chest. He became a warrior again that dawn, or told himself he did, drawing his blade with the same precision he now applies to grading his portfolio's red candles and his own receding floor price. He is, against all odds, happier for it, prouder for it, insufferable about it, waking at five to drill forms before collapsing back into the futon to doomscroll charts he swore he'd stop checking. Somewhere between the perfect cut and the imperfect man, Junichiro keeps score of his own failures more harshly than anyone else ever could, and calls that devotion.
Collected. Not borrowed. The Foes Teeth fighters carry proof of every fight they've won around their neck and find it a useful conversation starter.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Named for what it abandoned. The No Honor Kimono fighters gave up on the codes others follow and found that this freed them completely.
'Junichiro' — pure first son, the standard the others are measured against, usually by Junichiro himself. Flawless form, cleanest blade, a line that held because he'd sooner die than break it.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Elevated tradition. The High Straw Rice Hat fighters dress high above their own heads — everything they do is reaching upward.
Not defensive. Offensive. The Floral Parasol fighters weaponized elegance — opponents hesitate before striking something that looks like it shouldn't be there.
