Diary
Junichiro once measured every cut of sashimi at Mount Koriyoka with a swordsman's eye, certain that precision was the only currency worth holding, only to be humbled by a single traitorous fish bone that lodged in his throat and rugged his composure in front of the whole mountain shrine. He tells himself it was a fluke, an anomaly not worth logging, yet the perfectionist in him keeps replaying the choke like a chart he can't stop refreshing, grading his own gasp for air on a scale of one to ten and never above a four. Now he stands on the corner hawking himself, résumé folded into something resembling a menu, insisting passersby appreciate his posture and his enunciation even as he undersells the going rate out of some warped, prideful discipline about
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
Every cracked card. White is the beginner's belt, and torn is how the crack left it, border and all: a White card is never printed. A repair earns Blue.
'Junichiro' — pure first son, the standard the others are measured against, usually by Junichiro himself. Flawless form, cleanest blade, a line that held because he'd sooner die than break it.
No fixed allegiance. The Mercenary fighters fight for whoever offers the right terms and have never lost a battle when those terms were met.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Practical. Focused. The Hair Bun fighters pulled back what was in their eyes so they could see the whole board.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,468 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Stars on a strap. The Shuriken fighters carry more throwing stars than they will ever throw, because running out mid-fight is the one thing they still fear.
