Diary
Before Masumi ever opened her mouth near the Dojo courtyard, Raikou The Stoner was, by every account carved into old scrolls, a great man, a blade-master who moved like still water and thought like a locked chart. Then Masumi said maybe six words to him one lazy afternoon, something about floors dropping and life being short, and Raikou's whole disciplined portfolio of a soul got rugged in real time. He sat down cross-legged right there in the dirt, packed a bowl with the calm of a man reading a whitepaper he already knew was rekt, and decided enlightenment was actually just vibes with better PR. Now he drifts between naps and half-finished breathing exercises, telling anyone who'll listen that he seeks a quieter life, deadpan, eyes half shut, katana gathering dust like an abandoned NFT nobody minted the sequel to. He still tries to meditate every morning, lasts about ninety seconds before the bong calls his name louder than any sensei ever did, and honestly, chill as he claims to be, that losing streak against his own stillness is the only fight he never skips.
Simple. Carved. Someone made this by hand. The Wooden Loop fighters wear something made, not bought, and consider that a statement worth making.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
It's been that kind of day. The Bloody Mess clothing doesn't mean the fighter lost — it means they were in it deep enough that cleanliness became irrelevant.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Organization meets chaos. The Yakuza Hooligan fighters have discipline from one tradition and abandon from another, and they've combined them into something entirely their own.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
