Raikou used to be the kind of samurai who could hold a stance longer than most men hold a thought, but these days he holds a rolling paper like it's the last relic of that discipline. The night before, he'd shared a bowl and a bedroll with Tokuda under a sky he swore was 'just resting his eyes on,' and dawn crept up on him like a rug pull he never saw coming. When the sun hit his face at sunrise, something ancient and cranky woke up inside him, a patience he thought he'd meditated into permanence just evaporated like liquidity on a bad chart. He rose slow, blinked at the light like it owed him gas fees, then moved lightning fast, catching Tokuda mid stretch and reminding the whole Dojo why old samurai instincts never fully rug you, they just nap. The Dojo watched, blazed and stunned, and gave him respect not for control, but for reminding them that even enlightenment needs an alarm clock sometimes.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Lord's garment worn into battle. The Daimyo Warrior Kimono fighters have authority they didn't ask for and intention they haven't announced.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Aged. Sharp. The Short Spiky Grey fighters have been here long enough for color to leave — and found that what remained is more pointed than before.
Fermented projectile. The Beer Splash fighters found the most abundant thing in the Dojo and weaponized it.
