There is a stillness before lightning, and Raikou spent that stillness stoned out of his mind on a hot afternoon, aping the entire family fortune into a bet he can no longer fully explain, something about a lucky cicada and a gut feeling that felt very on-chain at the time. He walked out of that day rugged, broke, and inexplicably covered in tattoos he does not remember choosing, one of which may or may not be a JPEG monkey mid-meditation. The old samurai discipline he swears he still carries insists he should sit down, breathe, and tell his family the truth like a warrior facing dawn. Instead he sits down, breathes, packs another bowl, and decides the truth is more of a tomorrow problem, maybe even a next-life problem. Ask him about it and he'll just smile slow, exhale a cloud shaped vaguely like regret, and say the floor was always going to be zero anyway, that's just samsara, bro.”
Decorative. Traditional. The Tassel fighters know that ornament and function are not opposites — presentation is part of performance.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Excess made armor. The Glutton Fight fighters wear their hunger on the outside — not for food, but for everything the Dojo offers.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.

On fire, stable. The Burning Basket fighters operate in conditions most find impossible and have stopped noticing the fire.
Used and not cleaned. The Bloody Nunchucks fighters are efficient — cleaning was someone else's job and they had the next fight to prepare for.
