Diary
Raikou The Stoner used to move like a rumor, slow as low tide, until the Meiji Jungle turned into a feathered rug pull and every bird on the floor decided he was the airdrop. He tried to breathe through it, tried to whisper some half-remembered dojo mantra about patience being the sharpest blade, but a heron pecked his ponytail and the sword woke up before the monk did. What followed was less bushido and more chaos candle, a blur of steel and squawks and Raikou hollering about liquidity while feathers rained like confetti at a rug launch. When the dust settled he sat cross-legged in the wreckage, blazed and bruised, muttering that he just wants a quieter life, some still pond, some real discipline, maybe next moon. Nobody believed him, least of all his own knees, but he lit another one anyway and called it meditation.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Named for what it abandoned. The No Honor Kimono fighters gave up on the codes others follow and found that this freed them completely.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Carried more than worn. The Pocket Glasses fighters have perfect vision when they choose to apply it — the rest of the time, they let instinct run.
Tied before the fight. The Green Bandana fighters have a ritual of preparation — the bandana is how they mark the transition.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
