Diary
Raikou once trained beneath the thousand vermillion gates of Fushimi with the kind of ambition that could cut clean through a man's doubt, until the night he whispered his sect's oldest secrets to a fox statue he swore was blinking at him, and word got out that the fox had connections. Elders called it betrayal; Raikou, mid exhale, called it decentralizing information, and honestly nobody at the shrine had the whitepaper to prove him wrong. These days he sits cross legged on a straw mat that has seen better decades, penning the Degen Handbook one slow paragraph at a time, chapter titles like Ape First Ask Later and How To Lose Your Blade And Find Your Vibe. He preaches discipline the way he preaches everything, gentle, hazy, mostly theoretical, promising himself tomorrow's the day he meditates instead of rolling another one, a vow that's been rugged by his own couch for six hundred sunsets running. Still, when the lightning finally comes, sword drawn faster than his rizz papers, even the fox statue seems to nod, like it always knew the secret was never the technique, just the timing.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Half the statement. The Skull Sleeve fighters communicate their philosophy in one arm — the other arm is for whatever needs doing next.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The magical longbow. The Runed Yumi fighters inscribed power into their range weapon — the runes are the reason the arrows find what they're looking for.
