Diary
Raikou was mid sentence with Masumi, blazed into some cosmic tangent about how the wind don't push you, you push the wind, when his fist met his mum's kitchen table for emphasis and split two knuckles wide open like a rugged floor chart. He just stared at the blood, real slow, then smiled like the universe had minted him a lesson NFT for free. Once he moved like a blade under moonlight in the old dojo days, now he moves like a lava lamp, but somewhere in that bleeding hand he felt the ghost of discipline tap him on the shoulder and whisper try again, samurai. So naturally he decided the next move was to teach self defence classes, a stoned sensei preaching balance and breath while ash drifts onto the mat and his own guard stays wide open. He'll tell you it's all about chi, bro, but really it's just a man aping into responsibility one bloody knuckle at a time, chasing the calm he rugged on himself years ago.
Decorative. Traditional. The Tassel fighters know that ornament and function are not opposites — presentation is part of performance.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Still learning. The Student Gi fighters are the most dangerous in the Dojo — they have no habits yet, no fixed patterns, no ceiling.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Elevated tradition. The High Straw Rice Hat fighters dress high above their own heads — everything they do is reaching upward.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
