Diary
Raikou The Stoner once carried himself like a blade sheathed in silence, but respectability, man, that floor dropped the day he aped into lessons from The Bearded Bandit under some nameless bridge on the edge of town. The Bandit taught him footwork, alright, but also taught him that a joint counts as a training weight if you squint hard enough, and Raikou, seeking enlightenment or at least a vibe, took the L and called it tuition. Seven days later he still hasn't slept, eyes red as a rugged chart, mind looping between cosmic clarity and pure degenerate fog, muttering about discipline like it's a token he forgot he sold. He tries, bless him, to sit in stillness each dawn, straighten his spine, breathe like a monk, but the bridge still echoes with the Bandit's cackle and the itch for one more session always wins. Still, somewhere under all that smoke he swears the universe whispered a technique so devastating it's basically alpha, he just can't quite remember what it was.
Heavier than gold. Less prestigious. More honest. The Iron Earring fighters chose function over signal and consider that to be the signal.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The dragon lives on the body now. The Dragon Head Tattoo fighters carry their ambition on the surface — it's not hidden, and it's not a metaphor.
'Raikou' — lightning light. He moved slow and easy right up until the instant he didn't, and then it was over. These days he's mostly slow, and swears the smoke helps him think.
The Dojo's version of a mohawk. More specific, more named. The Dejen Mohawk fighters chose the Dojo's interpretation of rebellion over the generic one.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
