Diary
Young Yuji never got a real war, just the tail end of one, so he's been chasing the ghost of glory through every dark corner of the Meiji Jungle like it owes him a rematch. Curled up next to Tokuda under a canopy that's seen better centuries, he lay awake doing what he always does at 4am: auditing his own honor like it's a rugged portfolio, counting losses that never show up on-chain but somehow still tank his soul. Somewhere between the second bowl and the memory of a sensei he swears he'll make proud eventually, he decided the math didn't add up and honor was bankrupt, so naturally the only exit strategy left was seppuku, drafted in his head with the same reckless conviction he apes into everything else. Tokuda, half asleep, just grunted that maybe he try sunrise meditation first, one single disciplined morning, before filing for bankruptcy on his whole bloodline. Yuji agreed, set an alarm, then stayed up till dawn anyway, staring at the jungle ceiling, still chasing a glory that left before he ever got to swing his sword at it.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Turns toward light. The Silken Sunflower Kimono fighters move toward what sustains them without apology or explanation.
Still becoming, and always will be — the wars ended before he got to finish. All promise and no scars, certain his great chapter was over the next hill. The hill turned out to be the last one.
Traditional, ornamented. The Shoji Tassel Glasses fighters dress their perception in ceremony — seeing is a ritual for them, not a reflex.
Broad shade, broad vision. The Wide Kasa Fisherman fighters cover more ground with their hat than most cover with their plans.
