Young Yuji was born a beat too late for the war that made legends, and he has spent every sleepless night since trying to catch up to a glory that packed its bags and left without him. It was in the snow, teeth chattering, dojo long since burned to embers in his memory, that he knelt before The Bearded Bandit and traded his last scrap of honor for a lesson he didn't even fully understand, something about bluffing hands and reading men instead of blades. He tells himself it was strategy, not surrender, that a real warrior adapts, but the ache in his chest knows better and gnaws at him on the nights he can't sleep for wanting his old self back. Now he wakes at dawn determined to meditate, to train, to be disciplined like the stories say he should be, and by noon he's aped into some coin The Bearded Bandit whispered about between hands of cards. Still he grins at the horizon like it owes him something, certain that better days are just past the next bad decision, close enough to touch if he can just stay awake long enough to grab them.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
