Young Yuji never got his war, so he built one out of noodle steam and bravado, standing too close to The Old Dragon at the shop on the corner, retelling a battle he was three years too young to have fought. Somewhere between the broth and the bragging, some rat-fingered nobody slid his earring clean off his lobe, and Yuji didn't even flinch, too busy performing valor for a legend who'd already stopped listening. He swore that night, the way he swears every night after three warm sake and zero hours of sleep, that he'd surround himself with better quality friends, disciplined men, samurai-hearted men, men who don't ape into pickpockets' orbit. By sunrise he was back at the same counter, same seat, same crowd of grifters, because discipline is a sword Yuji keeps drawing and keeps forgetting how to sheath. Still, he wears the empty earlobe like a scar from a war that ended too soon, chasing a glory that left the noodle house before he even sat down.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
