He tells the story now with the detached cadence of a historian narrating someone else's downfall, though everyone can hear his voice crack at the cauterized punchline. Between hits of communal weed and the occasional aped-in token that promptly got rugged, Yuji still insists he is rebuilding his discipline one page at a time, forgetting that the ledger itself is now missing several crucial chapters.
