Diary
Yuji The Wise once kept ledgers of every battle he witnessed, a scribe of discipline who believed the body could be governed like a well-tended garden. That belief died quietly, then loudly, in the actual gardens of the Dojo, where he sat cross-legged beside BBQ Ben savoring smoked ribs and a second helping of gambler's confidence, only for his stomach to stage its own coup mid-sentence. He narrated the disaster even as it happened, cataloguing the smell, the silence, Ben's slow blink of betrayal, because some scholars document history and some scholars become it. Now he wanders the streets peddling himself for coin like a discounted NFT nobody minted right, still muttering footnotes about honor while his robes tell a different, damper story. He tells himself tomorrow he'll fast, meditate, rebuild the disciplined man he annotated in his own margins, but tonight there's ale, there's shame, and there's another chapter writing itself without his permission.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Minimum. Clean. The Fight Gi fighters believe that preparation is visible in the garment — this one says the fighter has done this before.
A fighter first and a thinker second — until the day he laughed with Haru in the streets and simply set the sword down for good. He calls it wisdom; some call it losing his nerve.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Dark nature made structural. The Black Oni Horns fighters grew into something specific and let it show at the top.
