Diary
Yuji The Wise keeps a ledger of his own shame, and the first entry, still smudged with sake, reads only: the alley, Yuuki, and a joke that should have died in his throat. He remembers becoming a warrior not through some temple vow or mountain trial but through the hot flush of teasing a boy who did not deserve it, and the fists that followed teaching him more about bushido than any scroll ever had. Now he narrates his own life like a chronicler paid by a ghost, cataloguing every failed sunrise meditation, every bong he swore was his last, every trembling attempt at discipline that collapses by noon into a nap and a floor-price check. He tells the young degens at the dojo that history remembers the strike, not the apology, and that he is still, somewhere in that alley, waiting for Yuuki to forgive him. Wise in all things except his own heart, he keeps writing the same story differently, hoping one draft will finally let him sleep.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Organization ink made visible. The Black Yakuza Sleeves fighters belong to something — a code, a history — and they advertise their membership without speaking.
A fighter first and a thinker second — until the day he laughed with Haru in the streets and simply set the sword down for good. He calls it wisdom; some call it losing his nerve.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
In motion even when still. The Wavy fighters are always already moving — the hair is just the most visible evidence.
Musical instrument. Strung instrument. The Shamisen fighters understand that performance and violence are not opposites — they are the same act in different registers.
