Yuuki once stood his ground against ronin twice his size, but nothing in his samurai training prepared him for a sweltering afternoon and a circle of courtesans who smelled blood, or rather smelled a man who had clearly misplaced his mojo somewhere between the sake and the third losing hand of cards. They teased him with fans and honeyed words, closing in the way a pack closes on wounded prey, and Yuuki, discipline long since traded for degeneracy, simply stood there sweating through his robe like a man defusing a bomb with his bare hands. He did not run. He did not fold. He absorbed every giggle and barbed compliment with the calm of a warrior who has decided, against all evidence, that this is the hill he dies on. When it was finally over and he stumbled back to the dojo half cooked and fully rattled, he told the story like a battle scar, chest puffed, insisting he had shown tremendous composure under fire. Nobody believes him, least of all Yuuki, but he tells it anyway, steady voiced and quietly proud, because sometimes courage just means surviving the heat with your dignity mostly intact.
A paper earring from the Dojo itself. Fragile. Replaceable. The fighters who wear them understand that what looks disposable can last forever.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Organization ink made visible. The Black Yakuza Sleeves fighters belong to something — a code, a history — and they advertise their membership without speaking.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Still functional. Functionally broken. The Broken Glasses fighters see a cracked version of reality and have found it more honest than the uncracked one.
Practical and armed. The Hair Bun With Chopsticks fighters put utensils in their hair and call it hair care — the dual function is not accidental.
Fermented projectile. The Beer Splash fighters found the most abundant thing in the Dojo and weaponized it.
