Diary
Yuuki once held a blade the way other men held their breath, steady, unblinking, ready for the cut that would end a war that ended anyway without asking his permission. These days his battles are smaller and stranger, and the strangest of all unfolded right in front of the shoji doors of a certain establishment he still refuses to name, where he caught something venereal and, against every law of medicine or dignity, felt his confidence spike like a shitcoin pumping on no news at all. He walked out bowlegged and beaming, telling anyone who would listen that pain is just discipline wearing a funny hat, and that a true samurai finds honor even in the clinic waiting room. Now he claims he wants a quieter life, early nights, herbal tea, maybe some light stretching, but he still shows up to the dojo's degenerate gambling dens by sundown, swearing tonight's the night he finally behaves. Nobody believes him, least of all Yuuki, who considers that particular self-deception its own small, stubborn act of courage.
One tooth. The whole shark is implied. The Shark Tooth fighters don't need to explain what they've overcome — they wear the evidence.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Organization ink made visible. The Black Yakuza Sleeves fighters belong to something — a code, a history — and they advertise their membership without speaking.
'Yuuki' means courage, earned the plain way: by stepping forward on the mornings every sane part of him voted to step back. Bravery, for him, was a decision made fresh each day.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Intentional declaration. The Mohawk Spike fighters made a choice that announces itself before they speak.
Heavy, ceramic, purpose-built for one thing and used for another. The Giant Sake Bottle fighters are creative about their arsenal.
